One of the best things about Naruto Shippuuden is the time scope of its narrative. While having flashbacks within flashbacks is often confusing to the point of annoyance, I do have to say I am loving the extended background stories (small arcs) that are cropping up during the war. Ghost in the Shell (2017) surprised me. It isn’t perfect, but it ended up being way better than I thought it would be. A lot of “hard-core” GitS fans were disappointed apparently, but, considering the quality of other film adaptations of anime, they were being unduly harsh.
